Meditation as Life Art
Meditation has helped me get through serious illness, so I am well aware of its health benefits. But even more than this, I appreciate the way it helps me sample the simplicity of what is; the sheer pleasure of being relieved of the weight of names, stories, judgements and opinions. The delight of meditation for me, comes from the adventure of getting to know a deeper, more fluid intelligence, which is totally inaccessible to the conceptual mind.
Meditation is a life art; a vital resource, not only for our resilience as individuals, but for our flourishing as a species. I believe that when practiced over time, meditation can help bring more kindness to ourselves and others, thereby contributing to the evolution of a saner world.
