The Secret Life of Stones
Stones always have a story to tell. The closer you get, the more you see. There's so much there on the surface just waiting to be discovered. Processes of weathering and coalescing leave traces. Biological growth, micro-organisms, lichens, fungi, algae… All the elements work together on the stone creating intimate abstracts. What nature creates haphazardly sometimes becomes ‘readable’ as a design of astonishing complexity and vitality. If you care to notice, and if you have a good macro lens, and lots of patience, you may be allowed to wander these landscapes and see what evolves.
